Dr. Duane Bratt
Dr. Duane Bratt is a political science professor at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, where he teaches international relations and Canadian public policy. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Windsor and his PhD in political science from the University of Alberta in 1996.
His research interests include Alberta politics, Canadian foreign policy, and nuclear policy. He is the author of The Politics of CANDU Exports and Canada, the Provinces, and the Global Nuclear Revival, and co-editor of Orange Chinook: Politics in the New Alberta and Blue Storm: The Rise and Fall of Jason Kenney.
Bratt is also a frequent media commentator on Alberta and Canadian politics, offering analysis of provincial governments, political parties, elections, and public policy.
Christopher Scott
Christopher Scott is an Alberta entrepreneur, small-business owner, and political activist best known for the Whistle Stop Café in Mirror, Alberta.
Scott gained national attention in 2021 when he reopened the café in defiance of provincial COVID-19 public-health restrictions, becoming a prominent figure in debates over individual liberty, government authority, and the rights of small-business owners. He was subsequently acquitted of all charges brought against him under Alberta's Public Health Act in connection with the pandemic restrictions.
Since then, Scott has continued his political and civic advocacy, focusing on Alberta's economic future, provincial autonomy, and constitutional questions. He serves as CEO of Let's Talk Alberta, a grassroots initiative that organizes public town halls to encourage Albertans to discuss the province's future, and has been identified as a director of the Alberta Prosperity Society.
Through his business and public advocacy, Scott has become a recognizable voice in Alberta's ongoing discussions about freedom, government accountability, and the province's relationship with Canada.
