About this AI assistant
This chatbot is an AI tool created by Let's Talk Alberta to help visitors get quick answers to common questions about Alberta independence, the 2026 referendum, treaty considerations, and our published positions. It is trained on articles and resources from this website and from public-domain sources including Government of Canada treaty texts and Supreme Court of Canada decisions.
What it is not:
What it can do wrong: AI assistants can make mistakes. They can misremember dates, fabricate statistics, misinterpret context, or oversimplify complex legal and historical issues. We have trained this assistant on accurate source materials and built in guardrails, but we encourage you to verify any important information through primary sources.
On contested political questions: Alberta independence is a genuinely contested topic. This assistant presents the case for independence and our organization's position. We encourage you to read widely, including perspectives that disagree with ours — particularly Indigenous-led voices from the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations (treatysix.org), Treaty 7 Management Corporation (treaty7.org), and Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta (treaty8.ca), as well as federalist perspectives such as Alberta Forever Canada.
Conversations: Conversations with this assistant may be reviewed by Let's Talk Alberta to improve responses over time. Please don't share personal information, contact details, or sensitive matters through the chat — use our contact form or email chris@letstalkalberta.com instead.
